Just a brief post on modern technology and the changing world, however not quite as modern or life changing as you might imagine! I was in my new home cooking dinner and I picked up a can of plum tomatoes. (For anyone who’s interested I was cooking a “Cowboy” sausage hotpot). For what was the first time in the three or more months since I moved into the house I had picked up a can which didn’t have one of those “new fangled” ring pulls.
So I went to my utensil holder and then to my cutlery draw before realising I have survived about three months without a can opener!
So I rushed up stairs and grabbed my Swiss army knife
Ok so I admit I don’t have one that big! After a couple of attempts I opened the can the old fashioned way! Just got me thinking (well not for that long) how the world changes without us realising it, and how much I eventually need to kit out my house. Ah well something to add to the Christmas list!
