The Candidates
The Apprentice returns to BBC1 on Wednesday March 25th. The words “Your Fired” will be heard once again. Details of this year’s candidates have been released by the BBC. 14 candidates, 7 Men 7 Women but only one can win! This year they include, Stockbrokers, Sales Consultants, a Science Teacher, Marketers and perhaps most interestingly Rocky – the youngest candidate at 21 who is already earning more money than Sir Alan Sugar is offering as the owner of a chain of North East England sandwich stores.
As in previous years after each episode Adrian Chiles will quiz the loser on “The Apprentice: Your Fired” often this is more insightful than the show giving the reasons behind the teams actions. If you want to sit in the audiance for “The Apprentice Your Fired click here to apply for free tickets.
I look forward to the new series of The Apprentice though with some trepidation, as I feel sometimes this show doesn’t know whether it is a business show or an entertainment show. Perhaps this was most highlighted in the American version with Donald Trump when the losers slept rough in Tents outside after each task.
A couple of predictions
I predict as in previous years the first task will be a classic selling task “market stall style” everyone will be wanting to prove they are “The Apprentice” and as a result there will be no leadership or agreement …. Therefore the project manager will be fired.
After skimming the candidates “CV’s” with next to nothing about them it’s hard to get a feel for them or have an idea who will win. I think Rocky Andrews is a dark horse as he already has a successful business is he really an Apprentice? Howard Ebison is my favourite at the moment, It sounds like he has “got his hands dirty” working from young but is also committed to continue his studies after university – Now watch him fired in the first episode.
The Predictor
The BBC are launching the Apprentice Predictor Click here for more information For a truly interactive experience, it allows you to watch the Apprentice (through the BBC Iplayer) guess who you think should be fired, see the rest of the nation’s prediction and chat to other viewers.
